Announcements

Monthly Fly-in

COMING UP...(all dates/locations are tentative); Fly-in will be confirmed / RSVP will be published ~1.5 weeks from the fly-in date.

  • October 15 - Brenham (11R): Southern Flyers Diner
  • November 19 - Simulator Delayed; Pending Alternate Activity
  • December 10 - Cleveland (6R3) Annual BBQ - Officer Election Annoucement

If you have a specific event/destination you would like us to consider, please send them to flyersofficers@hemc.org.

The monthly fly-ins are a highlight of the ExxonMobil Flyers activities. Each month a different location is chosen as the destination (generally within 200 miles of Houston). This provides our active pilots an opportunity to practice their skills and non-pilot members an opportunity to participate as a passenger on one of the member flown aircraft. The group rendezvous at the designated airport to enjoy lunch, camaraderie, and other activities the location offers (ranging from festivals, to historic tours, to shopping, to white water rafting, to mention a few recent activities).

There are generally seats available for fly-ins so not having an airplane is no excuse. Remember, you do not have to be a pilot, just have an interest in aviation.
